Her Very Own Senryu
He wrote for her
a tiny song ..
Yet one without
a tune ..
My word, she said
how lovely ..
No haiku he replied
And then she smiled
and later chose
to wear those three
lines proud ..
Set horizontally in fine
print and ink ..
Across and just below
her perfect
left hand, milk white
collar bone ..

Sorry about that N. I keep meeting 'fictional' lasses!

like foreshadowing
our impending, regrets..

A word of love
A caution of humour
Inked was the love
In the heart of lover
What the ink define on body
When the soul buries deep inside
Beautiful and well crafted dear Neville
Clever lines dipped in sweet honey

Wonderful words Neville.
This happened to me recently, a friend had an awful relationship that she eventually ended and during that time I listened to her and wrote poems for her, I also showed her poems including "And still I rise" by Maya Angelou, she then had the words
I rise
I rise
I rise
tattooed on her forearm.
Andy
