Plastic parents

STORM CLAN

You may choose your god
But not the Parents
Who set the undercurrent of life
You brought me in this world and cut through knife
Movie put parents above everything
But failed parents give you nothing
Still they mean something
I was blamed as wild thing
Robbed of words and asked to sing
Asked to play Life’s tune with broken string
Is happiness a real thing
How can I feel, when I never experienced that thing
But I have taken charge of my life
I will be a leader not someone’s wife
Priest and Preacher will learn from me
Inspire friends daily with something new
I will be force as strong as Gale
And I assure as I parent I will not fail
And will not be a plastic parent

Okay the image above is so aesthetic. But going to the poem, it really conveys a message. The first lines about choosing a god but not parents really hit and the rest of the piece ties in the message your going for. Live your life how you feel and don't feel overwhelmed by family pressure. 💖
