Painting Paragraphs

Susanne

Sometimes I like to paint paragraphs

I know  I know paint paragraphs?

Sounds strange right but hear me out

I don’t like writing paragraphs so I think of it as a painting

Like each brushstroke is a word

And the paint is a single letter

You don’t need much to make it beautiful

Once it’s finished I look at it and smile proudly

A smile that can not be broken

A smile that will last forever

In the memory of my paragraph

I have a vast collection of poetry in many volumes which I call collectively 'Painting with Words' this is partly because I am primarily an artist and I see poetry as going hand in glove with art - from cartoons through to realism. My special love is abstract art and I'm posting a poem tomorrow which is semi-abstract in form in that it invites the reader to interpret it. Enough about me for which I apologise and back to your poem - I'm with every word you write and if only others would view poetry this way it would be so much more popular. Great write Susanne.

Thank you very much! I love to paint abstract art as I do for more realistic art pieces. I am not the greatest at writing for I am very young but I try to understand writing as an art form rather then words on a paper. It has also been very hard for me to write since a young age and still is so I try to weave in writing with something I love to do.

I’m not an artist. But you have made me think about poetry and art in a different way. It’s beautiful.

Thank you! I am so glad to see my poetry impact people.
