Tune: Duke Street
('Fight the good fight')
Possibly adapted from an MPS poet
(mislaid original poem)
**********
Help me, Lord, to understand me
That I see what our Father sees
And do help me make the changes
That improves and rearranges
Do Lord, take my inventory
Help me truly know my story
It be my own biography
Of all the things that make up me
Help me Lord here to get better
And stay dry in life's rough weather
And please don't let me strong rage storm
Nor to rain* down in any form (*i.e. rain down in anger, etc)
Help me Lord here to put you first
So come, quench my terrific thirst
And help me assist the others
That they truly be my brothers/sisters
And help me Lord not to stumble
Or be less than honest, humble
And help me daily to walk on
Whole leaning on you, keep me strong

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.8.8.8. format. An older poem. It's a re-post. It seems a bit of a different style to mine. I don't think I wrote the original words to it, but have mislaid the author, possibly an MPS poet. Is it you?!

Amen
Good one Orchi
And totally pray along with you
Singing those hymns
Especially the last lines…..
Thanks Spill.

Thanks N. Notice - one of my wedding hymns to KP in the clip! lol.
Good one Orchi.
Maybe it is one that KP wrote for you.
Andy
