Bad Art

having bad taste in art
makes it so evident
life’s never been hard and
that your etiquette is arrogance
justify your hate for abstraction
because it’s not derived from form
as if human expression requires standardized method
a pointless action towards,
making your favorite the norm
only white models! only landscapes!
paintings must only represent hate
if they don’t look like me, weren’t made by my race
cleanse the gallery of every picture and frame
your bad taste in art
it makes you un relatable
the rejection will make acceptance un attainable
and everything other is now degenerate
your bad taste in art makes you less delicate
fueled by a hatred now the enemy is eloquent
and your fervor, your ravenous prejudice
makes you what you feared
a fly to the light, a kid who volunteers
to seek out what scares you…
then you’d be more compelled to fight
fright won’t stop you then,
a mantra of slurs is what you’ll recite
if you said anything else the politicians just might
ask you why you won’t stand up right
your fighting for them, “defending a culture”
your bad taste in art has made you a soldier
so the war your fighting finally means more
you’ll cleanse this earth, of beauty and grace
burn the last bones of dinosaurs
to go into space
your bad taste in art kills you with hate
