This is what I yearn for
The less complicated
Deeply motivated
Less infatuated
But more saturated
Type of love
Where a Monday feels like
A Sunday
No work to be done
More of a rest day
Type of love
Where I put my hand on your back
And you put yours on mine
Knowing that’s how it’s going to be
Type of love
I can be me
And you can be you
Free of negativity
Because we’ve chosen to be each other’s peace
Type of love
Where I can unload
Everything that reclines on my chest
Letting me let go
Of everything that I can’t quite digest
Simply because you care
And this too, is what you yearn for.
