a sunset

junia

the sky was way too pretty when we drove

home; scars shone in soft clementine

no black in sight only dark purple

and a light blue just like

the cardigan I´d taken

out of your closet that night.

the sun was golden, a medal

that we wouldn´t reach today

but you did, last week.

I believe you sent this

to take my mind off things

and my eyes off of you.

we circled the sunset

but I still never saw you again

What a bittersweet journey! I hope reconciliation is in the horizon. You expressed this great! Amazing job and the imagery and colors are so vivid! ✨
