Sunset
I must have seen it more than a hundred times
But each time feels more magical than ever
Third time's a charm they say
That's the amount of times I've seen a shooting star
Maybe there will be a fourth, fifth
Maybe even eightieth
But I know that it'll be like seeing it for the first time
I must have spent hours reading old messages
I should probably delete those
But every time I want to I'm thinking about memories
How much memories these messages dare to hold
Memories
I wish I remembered you like I remember those three stars
I miss you so much even after a decade
I wish I hadn't been a kid when you left
Because that damage can never be restored

Memories linger forever but they're reminders of good times. Great poem! Have a lovely day! 💖
You're absolutely right, thank you and have a nice one too! 😉
Sometimes I feel it's the bond more than the memories we miss. Memories get replaced by time, but we cannot replace how someone made us feel. And it stays with us till the end.
It definitely does stay with us forever in our hearts! Sending love ❤
