Wrong Battle

Sonoran Bard

You’re not alone.

I know how easy it is to drown in your own mind.

There are no cute slogans or word tricks to help.

No amount of word play can re-wire your thoughts.

The places you take yourself to need to be genuine.

We all have an innate longing for a place like Heaven

Why not win?

You can start.

Why not go to a place of pure, unadulterated perfection?

No blame, shame, a place for a new name, a new game,

No sea of flame, perfection in frame, just take your aim.

We’re not meant to be here for long, temporarily assigned.

I know you’re tired, bored, saddened, and anxious above all.

You can stop.

You’re not alone.

We all experience human.

Don’t underestimate your brain.

And your complexities command no fear or shame.

Sometimes all you can do is breathe with time.

And exhale your troubles.

And find some peace.

And know It’s ok.

What an uplifting and reassuring poem my fellow poet! You really wrote this with such a friendly and comforting tone and I feel like many people will relate. We're all bound to our own fears and inhibition and we should learn to grow out of that and see the light inside of us. Great job! 💖

Wonderful poem! I especially love the last stanza which allows us to simply be. It is OK.
