Wild boar enters the field
Tampers with the crop
Leaves the farmer aghast
To see his labour lost
Time and money spend
Is not the boar’s concern
They come in troops
Trample the field in just a run
It’s not for food, just for fun
Time to declare war
Keep the boar at bay
Or things will go out of hand
And people will have to leave the land
Take this up in parliament
Save the farmer if you can
Farming and conservation should go hand in hand

- Comment from author about the poem: Conservation has taken an ugly turn . Too much of anything is a threat to nature. When will our planners understand this.

Andy
Thank you Andy
Perhaps the crucial question: Are your boars indigenous or an introduced species?
If introduced , then remove humanely.
If indigenous, then too many people.
'mostly' Vegans, demanded
an end to barbaric hunting traditions
little understanding
it's their veggies, that were being protected
with all those hunting traditions (however diabolically bloodthirsty, in execution)..
now we have foxes hawling in city streets
and being trampled on our motorways,
and here come the revival of the boar's
those great, all-consuming bullies
who swagger in packs
and churn-up
a formers, toiled fields of hope..
now what to do
I can't wait for those same 'mostly' vegan's
to start marching about their veggie shortages...
lol
(forgive me if I stepped on any toes
just a little dark humour
and yes, I know and agree
banning hunting's vial practises
was a great achievement
for modernity
'mostly'
and no, I have nothing against Vegan's
'mostly')
lol
I totally agree with you.Sometimes people are just fanatic in what they believe and just forget that nature needs a balance.like the law of the jungle just live and let live
Indigenous of course but too many is too much and they move àway from forest and into the field
You talking to me? Why have they moved from the forest? Too much forest taken from them?
