not real

junia

sometimes memories whisper

that you´re gone

and I keep myself from playing them

I´m scared they´ll fade

that every time I see them

I’ll step a step away

Poignant write and probably resonates with everyone who has lost someone. Memories sure bring people back.

Yes! You captured memories so well in this poem and they do feel like little whisperers just nagging us 24/7. They can recall good and bad. But they will always be with us. ๐Ÿ’–

thank you. this poem was inspired by something I read somewhere about remembering; that every time we recall a memory we donโ€™t remember the situation itself but the last time we thought about it. so every time, we step a step away. which is very sad but also calming in a way. we move on even if we feel we canโ€™t
