Here I Average

ProfessionalPaperDigester

Here I stand in hooded robes

Layered black as furnace wood

Public rituals for modest goals

In an elephant sized package

Golden sabbaths and mausoleums

In an ordinary family dune

Here I stand an average man

Of which I'm told

  • Comment from author about the poem: It's been a while since my last write. Now that my hiatus is over I'm writing like crazy! This one in particular is about how we perceive the average man, or how he will be eventually, for our concept of average is always changing and soon maybe we all will be wearing robes and paying taxes with the blood of Christ.
