Love Rocks

Sonoran Bard

Once, there were two rocks.

They were only a few feet apart.

They stared at each other all day.

They stared for so long, in fact, that they got quite comfortable not looking away.

They couldn’t move, slide, or depart.

They withstood rain, heat, cold, and animal farts.

They hummed together, along with the sounds from the waves crashing on the bay

They lived many years together, loving each one.

That is, until some idiot kid picked one of them up and threw it at my windshield.

HEHEHEH!!! Comedy gold. The unexpected "animal farts" and the last line really drove the message home. Such a lovely romance tale and it's all abruptly stopped in such a brutal way. Poor rocks. 💖😅
