Where did the good go?

anabasova

It's actually fast-paced
My confusion is not moving slow
And my paradox is truly the law
It's really hard to explain how I feel,
You just know when it's real
And you can question yourself
If you're bored per say
Chose a place,
Different routes to how I'm getting there
Something is just telling me
 'Don't even try'
All of the things standing between us
are as good as a crime.

change can arrive, far too sudden
    at times
    while we're recovering
from whiplash of one unexpected development
another one, lines itself up and takes aim...
still, that's what our anchors in life
    are for
for when we need to reach-out
    and hold on
    to something, anything
    that can helps us, withstand
those hurricanes of change, in life..
(a good write, and relatable to most I feel
    thanks for sharing)

    That's beautiful.
I am grateful that you see it as relatable, it's always my aim.

Wow a very pertinent message dear poet! "It's really hard to explain how I feel" is so relatable. This reminds me of a Lorde song called Mood Ring in which she pokes fun and satirizes the whole idea of us being unable to detect our emotions and finding hope in all the trendy things like astrology and yoga so on and on. I'll leave a little excerpt: "Ladies, begin your sun salutations. Transcendental in your meditations (love and light) You can burn sage, and I'll cleanse the crystals We can get high, but only if the wind blows (blows just right) I can't feel a thing I keep looking at my mood ring … Tell me how I'm feeling (floating away, floating away)" Anyways, great poem! 💖
