Tune: Ratisbon
('Christ, whose glory fills the skies')
Psalm 60 v.10-12 & 61 v.1-3
************
Will not you, O God, restore
Us again? We you implore
You who seemed to us off cast
Your presence with us be past
But return, O God, we pray
Help us now in troubles day
For vain is help of mankind
Lasting strength we there not find
But through you our God we shall
Do valiantly, fare well
For you shall our enemies
Tread down, you power all sees
Hear me, O God, do attend
To my prayers, your ears do lend
From ends of the earth I will
Call upon you, not be still
When overwhelmed my heart be
Your mercies shall comfort me
Lead me to the rock that is
Higher than I am, true this
For you have a shelter been
Unto me, my eyes have seen
And a strong tower, you keep
From the enemy your sheep
