Don’t Lift A Finger

Evergreen

Feels like I wasted the past 14 months of my life

Constantly begging you to try

I even laid it out in front of your eyes

But you chose to turn your cheek and be blind

I’ve sat and waited through just enough of your lies

Hoping you would tell the truth this time

Promised you’re changing, but only in my mind

I think I’ve had enough of you this time

Because I’d move the mountains

And I’d drain the rivers

To make you feel better

But you don’t lift a finger

No darling, just sit there

Love me no longer

Sit and look pretty

Don’t lift a finger

For me

Nonreciprocal love I see. It's a shame and but I hope you've passed on though. You expressed it very well however, the imagery was great!
