If You Are...

Ishika

If you are fat
people say you eat too much.
If you are thin
people say you eat too little.

If you are beautiful
people say you shouldn't go outside often.
If you are ugly
people say you should find a way to become pretty.

If you're tall
people say you look like a tower.
If you are short
people say you look like a dwarf.

If you are clever
people say you don't have to be that clever.
If you are innocent
people say anybody can fool you easily.

There are always some people
who find your flaws in one thing or the other.
So never listen to them
and believe that you are where you should be.

"Everybody in the pew can I get an 'AMEN?'" "amen!!!" No but for real, you preached the message. Great job. Society will never be on your side, you have to learn to live for yourself. This reminds me of my message in my poem "Free Me From Me." We have to learn our self-worth and lose our reliance on others. Bravo!
