Call me a Poet,
but I’m just a writer
these words that I breathe
respoken much later
Call me a Poet,
my couplets in rhyme
each stanza to shorten
with meaning sublime
Call me a Poet,
my retinue sounder
to live by the moment
my squares getting rounder
Call me a Poet,
I’ll call you the same
if one phrase you’ll tender
—attached to your name

Transcending the light of reason,
can words do more than wait

Kurt,
I spy a challenge in your first-rate poem; here’s my feeble attempt to your challenge…
A poet I am not,
a dreamer I am
today’s regrets are
tomorrow’s satisfactions
Thank you for sharing, my dear Poet.
Laura🌻
I like the last 2 lines.
🙂
Thank you.
After much deliberation, I’ve finally realized what I once thought of as regrets are really satisfactions.
Kurt,
Your ‘Dreamsleep’ is most intriguing.
‘can words do more than wait’
Hmmm 🤔…
an interesting query.

...only a Buddhist would know.

…embarking on a mission to find a genuine Buddhist. 😉
