Dreams blown adrift
Raging for now
On the winds of time
Scattered like
Dead bird feathers
Will rise again
A phoenix with
Gargoyle eyes

Thanks, Neville.
This is so hard to watch.
You penned the present chaos so well in this short verse Jerry and the positive strength of your final lines makes for lifting hearts high as hopes rise again. An inspiring read.
Thanks, Fay.
I prefer ending with hope. We have not had the experience of conquerors coming and going and bouncing back the way Europe has. Hope should, in my belief, should not be counted out.
Yes Jerry, those dreams will always rise again.
Andy
Thanks, Andy.
