Depresso Expresso

Rosey

She sits there

Her curly hair

Falling in front of her small face

She moves it away with such grace

I can see it now

Tears she didn’t allow

Slowly falling down her soft cheek

Her cheeks so pale and bleak

I move close to her

Can she see through the blur?

I wipe the tears away

Her eyes stare back, still grey

I can feel her hurt

Not much I can do to comfort

She uses me as a pillow

She hugs me making my heart go mellow

My depresso expresso

I let her tears flow

My shirt is soaked wet

My baby girl is unhappy, upset

I will do anything to make you happy

Even if it hurts me

I love you

I hope you can love you too.

Wow that was a strong final line. It really hit, hopefully self-love and acceptance will be on the horizon.
