there once was a child born in a keepsake of a generation era
the child was exceptionally born gifted hence the foresight with any life
he lives many times each time his life was stopped short an unfortunate end
he was imperfectly perfect in the eyes of his peers and loved ones destined for greatness
growing up he was unable to see himself because of what others delineate
he only had the reflection of what they portrayed people disliked,
judged, manipulate, categorized, and labeled him of all things
unjustified simple because they have an inhuman depiction of color
they ended his life at the moment he was born
call it the unexceptional truth of FREE WILL

Racial justice is honestly a fight that we must never stop fighting. You portrayed this message very richly and it surely touched my heart. Great job!
thank you so much I was deciding to stop writing this is the first time in a while that I posted my work and your comment completely changed my mind
No, never give up! You honestly write beautifully and I don't see too many poets on this site writing about human rights issues. I feel it's so important and I, too, sometimes center on equality and justice with some of my poems. If you're interested "This Lady Gowns Justice," "A Swan, Named Freedom, Swims," and "Vertigo" are some of the poems I've published on MPS that deals with race, gender, and LGBTQ+ issues. I hope you continue writing and never let that spark of creativity die out. ✨
