You

Valerie

If I asked you to never touch me again

you would look at me

and count my freckles.

I will never need a tissue

because your hands wipe my tears away

so effortlessly.

When I close my eyes I picture the way you look at me

as if I am the only thing in the world.

I wish I could explain how I see you.

The perfect portrait of a man

accented with the bluest eyes

and the brightest smile.

All I ask from you

is to let me watch you grow.

Whether it be from afar,

admiring who you are

and who you will become

Or beside you,

enjoying all your new experiences from the frontline.

Being next to you is better than any high.

I wish I was better with words,

so I could give you a poem

as beautiful as you.

what a lucky person, that 'You'
    must be
    luckier than I, certainly
    just hope
    they're appreciative
and worthy, of your kind heart's
    Poetic sincerity..
    (simply a Beautiful, dedication
    I'm so jealous)
    thanks for sharing, dear poet
