Shadowed eyes

kitty the naughty poet

Amidst bright eyes witness the shadows

that only come out at night

dancing along in the moon's beam of silvery light.

Sorrow seeps in droplets when

shadows morph into ill-forgotten dreams

sending shivers down the spine.

Craving for the golden light of the sun

the warmth of its fingertips against succulent skin

sway between the rainbows' neon colours.

Blue with green for animalistic need and envy

purple and pink inspired by playful games

with belts... flesh... me and you.

Orange and red for the fire I burn within

every so often scolding myself in the process

golden yellow from the haze of the sun.
