From an irrefrangible, harridan
We take refuge in an ancient wardrobe
In a Neverland with emerald walls,
A white rabbit offers innocent hope
Charmed by the halcyon
Ridding a Trojan rocking horse
We are caught in the quicksand of time
That commits us to the labors of Hercules
Gathering coins for the boatman

(love all your myth referencing, imagery
crossing time's borders
from one line to the next
I feel
James Joyce, would relate)
Wow I love this! I feel that boatman line refers to the trip made to the Underworld in Greek mythology in which you need to pay Charon, the ferryman of the underworld, a certain coin or else you're doomed to swim in the dark waters of the Styx for 100 years. From the title I feel that this could be an evolution from not relying on others to depending on yourself. Great job!
Thank you so much L.B. for your review and kind comments. They are deeply appreciated.
