I walk onto the lawn in glorious sunshine,
There is warmth in the air.
I strike my first ball and it ends in a good place,
I hit it for a second time
Through the hoop it goes.
The sun continues to shine,
Off goes my coat in this warmth about me,
I play this game with pleasure.
The dark clouds start to gather,
It gets much colder,
On goes my coat.
The rain starts to fall
But still I play this game,
The rain turns to hail
And still I play.
The clouds pass by
The sun shines once more,
It gets warm once more,
So off comes the coat.
Here we are playing our game
No matter what the weather does,
It is a typical day of English weather,
Four seasons in one day!

Should I join a local (ish) Croquet Club?
They may say: 'Yes, as long as you don't sing!' lol
I am sure you would enjoy it Orchi.

That's why us brits love the weather, gives us something to talk about.
Was bloody freezing this morning mind you.
Very true Paul, yes it was a bit fresh yesterday morning.

I can relate to the changing of seasons in one day, with michigan weather being so unpredictable as well, we go through snow and spring and fall but never warm enough for summer......we'll get there. Very nice write, Andy!
Thank you Christina, the weather is so unpredictable in many ways but would we not want it this way?

The saying here in Oregon,is"you just missed summer, it was yesterday"
I can imagine that being true WJG.

Sounds like the weather here in Oregon, USA
It was hot yesterday, supposed to snow tomorrow, weather is crazy nowadays
It certainly is crazy Melissa, we only know what is happening with the weather when we look out of the window. π
Exactly, it's totally unpredictable
