Ageless Love.

Goldfinch60

As we kiss each other goodbye,

The tears seem to well up.

We are only parting for a short while,

Less than a day,

But our love is so strong

That even a few minutes apart

Is so hard to overcome.

We came into each other’s lives

And all is so wonderful,

Each time we are together

Our love gets stronger each moment.

We just do not understand it,

At our age to fall for each other,

Fall for each other so strongly.

Why should it be this way?

Why is our love so very strong,

So strong at our age?

We now look at ourselves and know,

And know that age does not matter

When love pulls us together.

We are two old fogies,

Two old fogies in love.

Aha... now we have it "born again fogeyism". I applaud it, we should all sign up for some of it.

Admit it, you've become a pair of spring lambs.

        Twenty twenty two
        the year of
        her and you.

        • Goldfinch60

Fogeyism is so great in our lives d a.
Yes we certainly seem to act like spring lambs.

as far as I can see, it was just meant to be ............... be happy the pair of ya ....

          • Goldfinch60

It certainly seems to be that way Neville.

Now, technically the word fogey comes from the French fougeux, which translates to fiery, ardent, spirited, enthusiastic. Link that with old and I'd say you have a dynamic duo. So love on, "Old Fogies", may your fire burn bright. Great write!

Thank you Bella, we certainly seem to be a dynamic duo and it is wonderful.
