The picture
hung a wall today
from gallows
a thousand words can't explain
The picture
simply felt denied

that would highlight
it's features

'paling, is sad state
for our iconic, hope's
especially, those
we once framed and hanged
with such assured, fervour
in those frail, walls
of our hearts...'
an intriguing read
thanks for sharing, dear poet
Thank you LB for reading and comment, take care
Intriguing, and I love thinking about this one. Perhaps complementary in meaning between the picture and the wall? I have the thought for the day, thank you.
Thanks Bella for reading,I reread a few times after writing and a few different thoughts occured to me,started out just by playing with words.I love where poems go with everyone, you take care
Wow this is quite profound. I mean normally it'd be the other way around, a picture is hung on a wall, but I think I'm grasping the metaphor. I assume this "picture" is a person being hung on a "gallow" for a reason I can't seem to pinpoint exactly, but I love your creativity. Really well done!
It was really about peoples vanities not being highlighted when they think they should be and so on,first world problems being so blown out proportion it's mind boggling,I love when poems take us all to different places.,always thanks for reading and commenting.take care
