Systemic Living?

Saxon Crow

Miasmic atmospheres cover this world

Despair, the food for the thoughts of the one

No relent in diet as one new fad upgrades from another

And yet there is a famine in the soul

And while those in shadow grow fat through fear

We, the masses are starved of an education of what it truly means to be human

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one?

Not so. The one is the many and the many, the one

We only have to step outside ourselves to understand this.

Where am I going with this poem?

Some thought new and yet very old

        (forgive me, dear poet
        your words inspired me, into
        yet another lengthy, rant
'have no idea how y'all put up with me'
        thank you! loved
        your humanist championing, message)
        w. h. Auden's
        'age of anxiety'
        birthing, regressive ideologies

is what was once, considered: Knew..
        capitalism's, individual accountability
        is a great, theory
        yet, when even Twins
        aren't born, 'equal' in capability
        its, just as flawed
        as communism's, 'the whole
        being more important
        than the individual, trickery...'
        'Humility
        and accepting
        that absolutism doesn't, exist
at our current level of evolution
is how, we can free ourselves

        if we, maintain a healthy
        and robust
        saving's account, and still
        make time
        to enjoy, that simple
        beauty
        in watching a butterfly, grace
        our scope of life
        while freely empowering, our empathy
        at every opportunity..)

The problem with capitalism is that it leads to none community thinking. It's pull up the ladder jack and screw everyone else. Communism is just as flawed. Tribal communities are made up of rich and poor but understand the importance that each individual.pkays in the tribe. You are as strong as your weakest member. It's the same here. All the while people fail to acknowledge the importance of each other and all the while we listen to narratives designed to separate and segregate we won't learn or grow in a healthy way.

            they try to paint us
such a bleak future, don't they
            yet we'll still party like it's 1999
            every new year's eve, defiantly!
            (great insightful points, dear poet)

Stepping outside the box and thinking of how we can help others without following the callous codes of the many is the way to try and deal with the situation. All we can try and do is be ourselves and go our own way.

But isn't going our own way avoiding the issue? Surely, if we take interest in humanity as a whole and treat each other as family then positive changes can take place?

So true SC but when is this going to be reality.
