Disinterest

Blaze

I don't want to eat

unless it's to be selfish,

or to fill a void I made.

I don't want to sleep

unless it's to forget,

to pass the time.

I don't want to breathe

unless it's to drag water to my lungs,

in that precious sea.

I don't want to talk

to you, to anyone, i'm tired,

no one wants me anyways.

I don't want to kiss

the pretty petals from the roses

that riddle my heart.

I don't want to live

unless it's to be you.

I’d like to pass on a piece of advice given to me by a beautiful poetess here on mps. “Pen all within your heart and never fear your audience.” That’s what a good writer does. Write for you and nobody else. If what you’ve wrote here made you feel better, you’ve done a great job. Cheers🥂🌹🕊🌞
