Infinite desires, less opportunities

spilleronsheet

Countless desires

scarce the resources

tireless the efforts

less the opportunities

with such scarcity outside

its hard to decide

For what the soul wanders for outside

numerous desires plague her mind

yet alas

the soul knows what to despise

what to choose, seems a luxury

some awaiting the predestined life

how to protect

and how to be protected

depends on mankind

An armour of others can’t borrow

yield your own  protection

this luxury so scarce

work all night……

      “Countless desire’s
      Scarce the resources
      Tireless the efforts
      Less the opportunities.”

That’s a poem in itself. Words of hardship 🤗🥂🌹🕊✌️🌞

        Precisely short and crisp

Thanks dear Fallenangel, glad you liked it….

        Dear Spiller,
Wait for the right Protection, time will tell...
Meanwhile gear yourself to wear your befitting armour !!
Good one , speaks your heart out !!

        • spilleronsheet

Protection yield on owns armour and sword…one may depend upon another depends subjectively…but maybe its best to rely on oneself…

I must agree with Teddy's comments. Whilst young adults our desires are way beyond our capabilities but mature into something more realistic with the years.
There are of course huge exceptions to this when we recall names such as hitler, polpot saddam hussein and their ilk who's egos seemed to run riot.

Reasonable and rational ambitions are flames
But those hideous are nothing but fire burning the soul
Truly agree with you and Teddy
And those examples so well remembered
If they could steer in right direction they could be gems
Like Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi….

          • L. B. Mek

            (all night, my poetic brethren
            without fanaticising
            over yield or prize
            we shall labor, work, dig
            wait steadfast, and think
            free ourselves of society's
            shackles
            deliberately designed to stunt
            our very, capacity
            for what simple
            happiness, and satisfaction
we may be afforded, by life..)
'We can make our lives sublime,
            And, departing, leave behind us
            Footprints on the sands of time;

            Footprints, that perhaps another,
            Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
            A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
            Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
            With a heart for any fate;
            Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.'
from Longfellow's: 'A psalm of life'

Ohhh wow what class is lines
So well quoted and essentially surfacing the messages brightly
Well said dear Mek, we shall work for true freedom
From the chains that hold us back
              Capital that reeks inequality

            • Rocky Lagou

I mean right from the start with the title you had me.

              "how to protect

              and how to be protected

              depends on mankind"

Spiller, SPILLERRRR. This is glorious. I feel we're all searching and seeking tirelessly for our goals, that "desire," yet we're caught up as if in barbed wire trying to actually turn it into fruition. Love your words

              • spilleronsheet

You got me dear Rocky that’s how messy the situation is. We think we are sorted or we will soon sort out everything but alas we are caught more and more, just like a puddle pulling us inside. Glad you liked it dear.

              • Rozina

Thought provoking indeed. Your lines are still resonating......

                • spilleronsheet

Thanks dear Rozina…it’s a pleasure if I could resonate with you….
