Let the change in

Sophenia

Having so much change to come

Scares me to death

Although it will be the best decision yet

I am afraid of not knowing the outcome

It's all so uncertain, but at the same time so exciting

I just have to remember for what i've been fighting

It's not easy to let myself succeed

When I am used to hurting myself till I bleed

Really wanting to be more compassionate towards myself

Which is exactly why I need to open my heart and put my feelings on the shelf

I am letting my past go and will remember all that i've done

But now it's time for me to go for what's best for me

And for what I was meant to do all along

  • Comment from author about the poem: Especially spring season comes with change. Let it come to you, it will lead you towards a whole new life. Don't let fear of the unknown hold you back. You are worthy of this. And so it is.

Wonderful watershed poetry. A time for grasping those reins and moving on. Our past will stay with us as a part of our character but we are more than our past.

I feel I should be wishing you the very best of success in the life ahead of you.

    • Sophenia

Thank you very much! I can definitely use that!

      'more power to you!'
      if you're not hurting anyone
      then 'Do You!'
      soar free, struggle heartily
let it be by your hands and choices
you realise the limits of possibility
      never, from being stunted
by other's, toxic presence in your life
      or that poisonous self-doubt, infesting
your every step, with fear's - regret!
      All the best! dear poet
may fate be kind and your horizon's
      ever bright!

I love that: 'may fate be kind and your horizon's ever bright'. Thank you dear poet!
