Waterlogged

distorted mikey

time is like water, rippling
and infinite
and impossible to hold onto with a wet, sagging brain
coated in itself.
you close your eyes and swim
for just a second
and when you surface there are leagues behind you
and fathoms in front
and you're lost in the infinite excesses
and then you slip under
the immeasurable measures piling on top of you
until you're drowning in the dark for who knows how long
and the pressure of the weightlessness is too much to bear

    these words, are why
    I choose, rather sensibly
    to dogpaddle, through life
    I'll leave the - diving
    for those, more trusting
    members of humanity..
    lol
thanks for sharing, a relatable read

"The pressure of the weightlessness is too much to bear" wow. Talk about a paradox. I sense your emotions in this piece very well, and your imagery is very effective. A thought-provoking poem.
