The Goddess' Lament

tinymoonchild

Dew droplets form her crown

she is a child of the forest, the lake, the mountain, the ocean

she is the unseen seer

the maker of a few hundred years of unbelievable belief

wild woman climb down from your stake

enfold within us the honesty of a freedom

gather your herbs that heal

take back all that was stolen

begin to reveal to us your cosmic dance

black moon sea swimmer

freshly toiled earth returner

rise up from your many graves

you are the henchman and the hero

you are the pointed hated hat of legend

goddess you have fallen into something to be feared

give yourself back your power and breath in the cool winds of a new dawn

free yourself from the pain

all those senseless chains.

"all those senseless chains." Yes. I love that line. We're often so caught up with obstacles that really aren't as problematic as we think they are. Wonderful imagery and greeat execution.
