Utterly Alone

Not Entirely here

I really wish I knew better

Maybe make you feel a little less bitter

Wish I could channel some of your pain

To help you ease on the strain

I wish I had your back more often

I should've taken  more precaution

I should've kept you safe

Now the distance between us is immense

Yet the urge to hold you in my arms becomes more intense

If I could then I would sit with you now to talk and try to make sense

But I am less than perfect

And I might be a little too in pieces

I am sorry I choose to play the suspect,

Accused, abandoned and disgraced

I took you for granted now I don't think I can stand it

Perhaps breaking down in this cold could give me some peace

And understanding

Maybe in my disgrace,

From your mind I will be erased.

This is a very good piece, and you are never utterly alone, God is and always will be with you

    • Not Entirely here

Indeed, because I have found him at times when I thought I was alone. Because when you are weak, you are strong. 🙂 Thank you very much

      • Crowns4Christ

Most times we are strongest in our weakest moments, for that is when we are closest to God

      • Paul Bell

To be human is to be weak, that way we can be led to the promised land.
Though, the promised land might just be a good night out.
