I See You

M. Evermore

All around me are colors

Of loss and hate

Of rage and passion

Of love

Swirling around me

A tornado, a hurricane of color

I cannot see, can barely breathe

And then I see

You

Staring at me

At the edge of tomorrow

I see you

And suddenly the winds stop blowing

And the skies stop hailing

And I see the sun

For the first time in

A long time

And I can breathe

And I can see

And I can see

You

An adoring sight! I love the imagery of color you made prominent in this one. It felt vivid and alive!
