Imagination...

kitty the naughty poet

Most days I just feel like my imagination is taking over...

Sometimes I'm in never-never land

stumbling through this thing called life

like a pirate with a wooden leg

my conscience flits

between the endless world of nightmares

and the magical land of daydreams

where I swim from a ticking Croc

through the rivers on the back of a mermaids fin

run away from cannon balls with the lost boys

through the forest of trees

and fly through the stars with tinkerbell wings

second star on the right then straight on till morning...

Sometimes I'm in wonderland

down the rabbit hole of life descending upon dreams

skipping through the forest

dancing with tweedle-dum and tweedle-dee

and a moon made of the Cheshire cats smile

singing to the flowers to put them to bed

getting lost in the darkness before being

ordered to paint the white roses red

when all I wanted to do was have a tea-party

with the mad-hatter and his friends and

go a little off my head...

Then other times I'm wondering the

yellow brick road in the land of oz

with ruby-red slippers around my toes and

a little dog called toto.

helping the scarecrow to find his brain

search for the courage in a lions mane

squeaking down the cobblestones with the

tinman counting down the steps to his demise

as my eyelids slowly close...

falling asleep on the yellow brick road...

Lost in my own imagination world...
