Calm Considerations

orchidee

Tune: Albano

('Once, only once, and once for all')

Luke 12 v.22-28

**********

Jesus said, Be not anxious, for

Food, drink, clothes, earthly store

For the life is more than food worth

And more than clothes of earth

Consider the birds, for they sow

Not, nor reap, here this know

They have not barns, places to store

But God feeds them e'ermore

And which of by worrying

Can grow in anything?

Can you add one inch to stature?

You shall be same measure

if you not able to least do

Why are you anxious, you

About the rest? you shall not be

Able to do them, see

Consider lilies, how they grow

They toil not, spin not, know

That Solomon in his glory

Was not clothed like them, see

if God so the daily grass clothe

Shall He not you bestow

What you need, you of faith little

He will you provide all
