Spring To Life.

Goldfinch60

I wander amongst the long grass,

Its greenery interspersed with flowers.

The white and yellow daises flourish,

The yellow of dandelions shining.

The wonder of nature fills my life.

I see the bushes spreading their twigs,

Some filled with buds

Showing the new life that Spring brings.

I look around and see Natures wonder

And the thought comes to me

As I stand in my garden,

I really must cut the grass!

Hmm that grass cutting problem. This year I'm going to leave most of my garden to go wild. Locally theres a trend encouraging this to promote wildlife. Though I'm already worried about the brambles encroachment, they are a major problem if not kept under control.

Brambles and ivy are a pain in the proverbial, they get everywhere.

There is no way I am a yuppy, not at my age!
The smell of new mown grass is so good Neville, luckily there is grass all around the town in which I live and the council cut that. LOL

        This is beautiful dear Andy
Initially words of spring’s admiration caught me
And finally the responsibilities of life struck me
        Great one dear Andy

Thank you for your kind words spilleronsheet, much appreciated.

          a fun read, Andy
          'have some thought, for those
          in concrete 'blocks'
          who trim windowsill, moss
          to connect, with
          their corner of Nature's: bross..'

          • Goldfinch60

            Thank you Mek.
Very true, there are so many concrete blocks in gardens nowadays.

A lovely read. There is so much rain that the grass has to be cut nearly every month here.

            • Goldfinch60

Once start cutting it the same applies here.
