Tune: Noel Nouvelet
('Now the green blade riseth')
*******
Sing a song of Easter, Christ rose from the dead
He our Lord and Saviour, He our living bread
As grain of wheat that fell in ground and died
But now by His Spirit does in hearts reside
Carried load of man's sins unto Calvary
That we from the should be whole, forgiven free
We were lost, but now in Christ we are found
Let us give thanks to Him, let praises resound
Rooted, built up in Him, more Christ-like we grow
More of Him daily know, by His grace 'tis so
Not left bereft, His Spirit us to guide
His own presence, there no greater one beside
Easter joy and victory, lasting through all days
Teach us your will, Lord, and keep us in your way
That fruitful unto you we shall endure
Till we come to your promised rest evermore
