How Depp is Your Love?

AuburnScribbler

It’s alright; playing a lovable rogue,

or the part of an open floozy,

but when it comes to the crunch my friends,

you’re certainly not a doozy,

as the constellation, upon my screen,

is a repeat of a nightmare, so unclean.

So, Jack, and the girl from Pineapple Express,

stop wasting everyone’s time,

this is clearly a domestic problem,

thus, this show trial’s a crime,

though, maybe in court, you both rehearse,

preparing for your real sentence, your curse.

A billion unready couples, are socially accepted,

hence wars, start at home,

Scissorhands and she who’ll Never Back Down,

continue with their tome,

with the seething qualities, that comprise the reign,

whilst the sheep salivate, again and again.

Instead of defamation, perhaps be more judicious,

therefore, start to mend,

both your relationship, and broken tinsel town,

that used to be my friend,

stop thinking, that you are gods, shitting from up above,

ask yourselves this question, how Depp is your love?

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem was bound to be written. It's another one of those "social commentary/topical" pieces, and of course it's about the shambolic trail of Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard. If there is a category of people on Earth, who I don't like very much, it's most definitely "unready couples!" The institution of the "couple" in general, is an ongoing disagreement within me, as the results to me, always lead towards division and dissatisfaction, as people over time have redefined the concept of "love" as war and greed in disguise. For example a "prenuptial agreement" is not love, it is battle strategy, for later on! (Sorry for the mini lecture/rant). Anyway, the banner picture that accompanies the poem, I feel is very apt, I hope that these "award winners" can stop wasting everyone's time, and that they can find their solace very soon, I hope that you enjoy the poem, and as always, please stay safe everyone.

Thanks for the read Andy, and I'm glad that you find my words; are somewhat the truth.

I hope that all is well.
