Why do I smile?
I smile because in my long life
I am still here,
I have survived.
All the world has thrown at me
I have survived,
And I smile.
When I was knocked down in my life
I got back up and moved on,
Moved on in my life.
I have survived,
And I smile,
And I smile,
And I smile.

A fine emphatic and self-strong thought here Andy, if I may say so, this is very politefully put middle finger, to all of one's troubles.

Like the song says; "You've got to accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative". You have done this so well in this poem, especially with the accompaniment of Louis Armstrong's mellow trumpet. This makes me smile all over. Keep on smiling and the whole world will smile with you.
Thank you Bella, I am always smiling as life is good.
