Tune: Doncaster
('Put thou thy trust in God')
*********
Psalm 54 v.4
Behold, God my help is
A truth sure it be this
And He is with them that uphold
My soul, let it be told
Psalm 55 v.22
Cast your burden upon
The Lord, let it be done
And He shall sustain you, He shall
Not let you fall, know well
Psalm 56 v.3-4
What time I am afraid
I shall, it not delayed
Put my trust in God, will Him praise
Melodies to Him raise
Psalm 57 v.1
In shadow of His wings
I stay, still my soul sings
Until these troubles be o'erpast
They shall not ever last
Psalm 57 v.7-8
On you is fixed my heart
O God, my every part
I will awake, and praise you give
You bring me help, I live

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 6.6.8.6. format. Troubles, or the same troubles, shall not ever last (verse 4). 'This too shall pass' - a Persian adage - yet the troubles are real enough as we experience them and go through them. There is hope of God's help though.

Thanks SC.
A wonderful refresher Orchi! Your formatted poems truly cast light! Much love!
Thanks Rocky. Erm, Teddy has problems saying some of my titles, often alliterations. It depends if has her teef (teeth) in or not! lol. It's nutty. Part of the bonkers 'genre' on here.
Teehee! R u talking about Teddy.15? Are you exposing the fact she wears dentures? Uh oh, hee.
Erm, yes, heehee.
