Fingers Crossed

Neville

Fingers Crossed

Take one black cat and two magpies

add three wishes

and a single four leaf clover ..

Then shake them all together and you

will have nought but

good luck over and over and over ..

    Wishing you well too )

And lovely poem . Magpies in twos are supposed to be a sign of good luck .. I’ve seen them in twos several times . Some people say seeing a black cat is bad luck but I’m not sure I believe that ..

thanking you kindly Violet bluebell (used to be yellow rose) ... I always thought a black cat crossing in front of you was meant to be good luck too .......................................................................... 🙂

But not one magpie on its own? 'One for sorrow, two for joy.....'
Erm good wishes, maybe luck too, but I don't believe in it. lol.
You seen our black cat? Or the tabby one? We have two cats. Ahhh!
The black one said to me: 'Never mind if I cross your path or not for luck where's me grub?' A talking cat now! lol

Now there are local witch doctors here (called bomoh) some of whom also practise black magic....

a good luck charm, in a poem
                    never occurred to me
                    to imbue something tangible
                    in my scribbles
                    (an 'omamori' in a poem)
                    as-ever
                    I read and learn, Hyung
                    thank you!
