For Ever Aint Never That Far Away
Prior to going over the top, this is what our
sergeant major said, just before the
old sod copped one ..
Chin up, chest out, and shoulders back son
put your best foot forward and walk
don’t run, good men ..
Just remember, that here, now and forever are
not far away, so just do the best
that you can ..

cheers Andy ................ N 🙂
Forever is the past, present and future all rolled into one. 😉
in a word, correct ............................. 🙂
a thread of fate, separating
between, those
being born in a war zone
and those
being born in peaceful, moments..
Personally, I think the latter
is the crueller, fate
as we get to glimpse, a perhaps
of peace
that can never be sustained..
so from the beginning
of humanity's, fantastic Tales
and Cain and Abel's
inability to cohabitate, war
has ever
and I fear, will ever
exist, to remind us:
'that here, now and forever
are not far away,'
So we too, go-on
celebrating those heroes
who gifted us, a chance
and doing our Best
then simply let, Fate
judge the rest...
(just a such a poignant read
when you think
that so many, are living this reality
in the now, we lucky few
take for granted...)
Brilliant!
dear Poet, supreme
thank you!
thank you brother Mek and both kindly and true .. N
