Tune: Buckland
('Loving Shepherd of thy sheep')
Based on a prayer by Soren Kierkegaard (1813-1855)
**********
Father in heaven, when thought
Of you to my mind is brought
When it wakes within my heart
Let it wake peaceful, each part
Not wake like a frightened bird
That sound of danger has heard
Not fly about in dismay
But to hear you calm today
Let it be like child who wakes
Knowing parents ne'er forsakes
Waking with a heavenly smile
Know you present all the while

A rather short one today Orchi. You losing steam?
Thanks SC. Nope - he only wrote a short prayer! lol. It helps one on days if I've not got as much time.
A beautiful poem that praises our lord orchidee ! Food for the soul! I love the last two stanzas! Short and sweet❤️
Thanks Judy.
A lovely form of grateful prayer and thank you for posting it Orchi.
Thanks Fay. Soren was a bit eccentric at times, rather too 'liberal'.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
