Rossi, Parfitt, Brown and Edwards,
Sang of those Pictures,
Pictures of Matchstick Men,
While I was sitting in My Chair,
Sailing my Paper Plane,
Across the way to Caroline.
I was with them when they went Down down,
When Rockin’ All Over The World,
Again And Again.
Making us Rock ‘til You Drop,
With Whatever You Want.
Their music is still with us,
With me.
Whenever I hear their music start
I know exactly what I am going to get,
And a smile comes upon my face.
My head starts bouncing,
My feet start moving,
And takes me back to younger days,
Where I hoped that their rocking,
Don’t Stop.

You have to admire them for their success with 3 chord music. I remember Rossi saying 3 chords and 25 years, but it could have been 25 chords and just 3 years. Of course that makes a lot of sense when you consider just how long 3 chord music has been around. I prefer something with a bit more sophistication but a good old rocking 12 or 20 bar piece aint to be sniffed at.
Very true d a but they could certainly make us rock 'back in the day'.

Not some of the 'too-modern' rubbish of today?!
So true Orchi.
it's them 'Choruses' sung about 20 times - drives ya mad. Though I don't mind Taize. That can get a bit tiresome too though, after about 50 repeats! lol.
That old time rock 'N roll just moves my soul. I hear where you're coming from on this one. Just makes me want to take those records off the shelf. Thank you for such a wonderful reminiscence.
It certainly does bring back such wonderful memories Bella, thnak you.
