Slowly slowly….

spilleronsheet

Slowly slowly

the rain stopped

and drew the hot weather

the gust that dried

the only lake, that was kept alive

slowly slowly

the drooping leaves

hung loose by riverside

drooping its way

it flew with the harsh winds beside

no wonder there was no sun

no wonder there was no cloud to greet by

on the lost hopes

the caravan trailed by

all lost

all dried

lifeless tavern,

crossed  numerous hindrances of life…

Thanks dear Vamsi..you always wear the optimism on sleeves…and that’s the best part…

Yes true Spiller, Optimism saves us from many hurdles. So never leave it and never borrow your sorrow....

      • dusk arising

Speaks of perseverence, tenacity in the face of adversity.
I count myself lucky in having a positive mindset which is such a strength in times of the challenges life brings. Though i have times of depression i believe i do not sink so far as those not so lucky who have a negative mindset.
        Which are you?

On a scale board lingering between two divisions
It’s difficult which territory I truly belong
But I feel the positivity is fading
          I wish I could borrow some optimism…..

Print yourself a copy of Desiderata (by Max Ehrmann)and pin it behind the bathroom door. There is much to contemplate and uplift in that piece for those moments when we are alone about our ablutions.

Love the use of imagery! It brings that hopelessness so well.

            • spilleronsheet

Thanks dear JudyStella…nothing but life is the best teacher after all….

                Couldn’t have agreed more !

              • Rocky Lagou

Dear Spiller, this is truly spectacular. I love how the title already instantly sets the sedate tone of this poem. I feel your images and it all feels so tangible, it feels gloomy, but nonetheless I feel an underlying need for hope.

As an aside I just wanted to say that you've truly been one of the poets here on MPS that have uplifted and inspired me in many ways. Your poems speak a thousand words in only a few stanzas and the power of them are impactful. I'll be on a hiatus until August and I can't wait to see what marvels you've created when I return. Until then!

You will be heavily missed dear Rocky…and thanks for always making me feel elated and flattered dear rocky….well a few sad and teary ones, some reflections may spill over…i hope i can ink some and surprise you when you come back…and best of luck in your path ahead…

some things in life .. at least this one, simply can not be rushed ..

Indeed, I shall savour these words time and time again ........ Neville

                  • spilleronsheet

Thanks dear Neville…your right, every effort needs to be taken slow…slowly slowly in rhythm of flow…
