The one that passed right through him sure
moved fast
and it stung, like a hornet, on amphetamine ..
Although
despite everything, including the difficult to
determine
and presumably calculated trajectory and so
many other
variables, they could never be entirely certain
it had his
name on it, since the mountain of discarded
magazines
and shells strewn all around, each carried the
mark that
linked them with Oсоборонэкспорт, and then
of course
there were the fragments of as yet, unidentified
DNA strewn
around the factories, hospitals and playgrounds ..
and we knew
it was only a matter of time before someone took
the bastard out
…

What is wrong with the Russian people, they can't be that brainwashed.

remember
the zealotry efforts of the west
and especially USA, to induce
a feud with Russia
from the minute WW2 ended
that's
more than half a century
of west, policies and sanctions
and calculated, actions
aimed at inciting
volatile reactions..

was on the cards the minute
the US planned to bolster
Ukraine's defences'..

Politics is a dirty game and, as such, does not lend itself to poetry very well. But the human side of this piece, when one considers the loss of life on both sides, proves the arrogance of war. Would Putin's death be a solution to that? Maybe, but what if some other egomaniacal depot-to-be pops up and replaces him.? There are thousands of paths that events going forward could follow. The answer lies in the hands of the Russian people. They may have an opportunity here to gain their freedom once again, but it will be a struggle requiring great sacrifice. It is however, their choice. - Phil A.
