Tune: Ewing
('Jerusalem the golden')
Based on a prayer by Mother Teresa
*********
Dear Jesus, help me to spread
Your fragrance, by you led
Everywhere I go, pray
Fill me with you each day
Flood my soul with your Spirit
And life, my path be lit
By you, and possess my whole
Being, e'en all my soul
Utterly, that my life be
Radiance of yours, see
Shine through me and be in me
That every soul freely
I meet may feel your presence
And go forth refreshed hence
having sensed of you living
Your graces us giving
Let them look up and see no
Longer me, but you know
You only, Jesus Saviour
Be the influence sure
That I share, witnessing to
Your mercies ever new
Others be brought into your
Kingdom for evermore

Saint Orchidee the chaste of my poetic side
Thanks SC. Swoons and staggers at being called Saint! lol. Mother Teresa had her conflicts, doubts, etc too - not super-human.
'mercies ever new' witnessed and shared. That is beautiful!
Thanks CB. Mother Teresa had conflicts, etc as we all do. It shows she is human, I think. But - who said I was human? I'm half guinea-pig as in my pic! They are not hamsters, as some say - argghh, now me next poem: 'Invasion of the giant mutant hamsters!'
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
