Just thoughts

Michael William Reid

The winds of spring they dance and sing

And frolic through the trees

And look silently in contemplation

Of the young man that they see

He walks through life in wonderment

Amazed at the unknown

The silent loudness of the beauty

That nature calls its home

But in the forest the thunder will crash

And the lightning strike you down

In the forest the darkness may loom

And you feel like you may drown

But if you fight and persevere

You'll see the other end

The beauteous light of nature's love

And all the strength it has to send

So never stop moving

No step taken back

Because life will hit you hard

But it will not take you off track

Melodious and brings the mind to a reverie. A very lifting message too. Thanks for sharing.

I thought this was a wonderful poem, how it talked about nature and it's beauty. I loved the rhyme and the flow of the poem was excellent.
